Biography:

Joseph J. Quigley, IV
Joe@TheMathClub.com

President, Quigley Scientific Corporation, www.qscorp.com
and
Founder of The Math Club in Lexington, Massachusetts

Joe Quigley has more than 30 years of engineering and scientific work experience for product development issues involving design, manufacturing modeling and analytical engineering analysis. He is the founder and president of Quigley Scientific which he started in 1993.

His skills have been applied to many important developments and critical problems from companies and government agencies totaling more than 70 organizations. He is considered an expert authority in several areas involving mechanical engineering, applied mathematics, applied mechanics, and numerical analysis.

Joe received his BME and MMAE from the University of Delaware, the ME degree from MIT and further graduate work in engineering science and applied math from Brown University.

Joe participates with his community by coaching competitive math teams in Massachusetts for the last fifteen years. He is a farm boy from Delaware who personifies the quote by Peter Drucker: "The best way to predict the future is to create it." In so doing, he has created a large community of like-minded parents that have entrusted their young mathematicians and scientists to his rigorous (and fun!) training as if they are, in his words, "baby graduate students". His students have earned a total of 157 perfect scores in the Math Olympiad and last year they acquired just over 9% of the total perfect scores in the US all of this from one small classroom.

He resides in Lexington, Massachusetts, with his wife, Claudia. His two children are off to college now and they both still really like math and science!
